Sometimes thinking inside the box can be illuminating.

With a campus featuring the award-winning 11 W. Huling and The Residence identities, a neglected outdoor storage building looked decidedly out of place. With our proven skill at turning negatives to positives, we focused our creative tools of the trade to replace the functional tools that once were housed in the shed.

We saw an opportunity to approach the shed from a different perspective — a creative approach that could expose many more opportunities for community, camaraderie, relaxation, and motivation. Reimagining the Light Box was inspired by 11 W. Huling’s heritage as a photography studio and the building’s iconic cyclorama, which remains a focal point inside the renovated warehouse.
